I always 😂 at Sam coming out of his closet asking mom what are you doing? Jessie done forget she locked Sam in closet and was trying to leave without him. Homegirl was trying to much to be like TF. Michonne was over there making sure her kids was good and covered before they faced the hoard. Then we get out there and Sam is mom mom in the freaking herd 🤦🏾♀️.

Jessie has been in survival mode herself and now that Pete is dead, she hasn't had the time to work with Sam on moving past it. And now here we are! I blame his dad for all of this, still. What a terrible man.

2025-07-12 21:17:26 +0000 UTCmorgan had me sooooo heated. to fight carol instead of letting a demented murderer die is beyond wild. he needs to be alone. how dare he risk others peoples lives, his supposed new group, just to let dangerous people live. that'll never make sense to me. because he refused to kill him or let carol kill him, he got free and took the only person with some medical experience. just dumb! also when it comes to sam, i do partially blame jessie. yes they're victims of domestic violence. which i get, but her enabling him, especially in an apocalypse was only going to make it worse. she should have forced him downstairs and get used to how things are now. him even saying mom had me upset because do you not see all these zombies around? rick specifically said everyone has to be quiet. even worse is judith is with them, my anxiety was so high lol

I objectively understand the premise of “All life is precious” but life in your community consists of children, women and people that don't know how to protect themselves. Like Big Momma Michonne said this is bigger than those four words and bigger than you. When you become a part of a community you have to weigh the precious lives of people you eat with, fight against outside forces with and people that you love and love you. The W's are people that invaded specifically to kill everyone you know and possibly love. It reeks of selfishness and evil to put their lives above Rick's family & Day One's and the Alexandria community. Morgan needs to go it alone. Especially, if he wishes to go forward with this ideology. That way he will only put himself at risk.

2025-07-12 02:19:16 +0000 UTCHe was traumatized by the things that went down with his mom and dad that night that Pete was sitting on the porch when Rick came by he was talking about my wife cut your hair that was the night that Sam told Carol that Pete had knocked his mom out and she was on the floor bleeding and Carol got in his head when she was telling him that story about he will be outside of the walls tied to a tree and the monsters will be eating him alive he still got that in his head cuz I don't know if you guys saw the picture that he was drawing that was his self tied to a tree and two walkers on the side of him the story Carol told him I think that's what really messed him up. They really are goofy's Brandon I appreciate this episode back to back let's do another one please❤️

2025-07-11 23:38:39 +0000 UTCThe first couple of rewatches, I felt the same...but honestly with both boys being so in denial(not saying it's their fault, it's understandable for them to continue holding onto their respective delusions) nothing but a forced understanding of Alexandria's reality was left as an answer to make them any type of fit for survival. Sam having anything resembling a chance was scraped when the first priority his mother had was replacing their father and not sitting him down to let him know he HAD to adapt. Giving him 'space' to grow up and work through his new reality without forcing the issue and giving a piss-poor crash course when there wasn't any type of options but move or die immediately was never gonna end well. Her negligence to catch both her boys up to speed on the new 'normal' made them both dead weight.

I think this kid has the same thing plus the sheltering of his mom and the extra scary crap Carol piled on. @Brandon I wouldn't say he was born without a full deck of cards so much that his brain processes things differently. I relate to Sam in that way but I developed the fight in me in response to trauma vs his mama locked him in a damn closet and that's ALL on her. She has kept him in that state. He'd still function differently like Eugene for example but he could still have some fight in him if his mom didn't suck so much

Still mad at Morgan. He body slammed the mess out of Carol for a guy who now has our doctor. SMH He needs to live alone to maintain his philosophy. The cheesemaker was alone. He didn't have to protect people. The opening with ants is one of my favorites; it's foreshadowing how the zombies are all over Alexandria at the end of the episode.
