The Walking Dead 5X9 RAW REACTION

Here is our uncut reaction to The Walking Dead Season 5 episode 8!

Featuring:

🎬 Adison & Brandon

— Adison

Comments

Most of the population lives on the coasts, would be a terrible idea. Millions of walkers. Places like Montana, the Dakotas or northern Minnesota would be ideal. Low population, plenty of fresh water and wildlife for food. Also, Cold temps so the walkers would physically be frozen and unable to move.

Thrashifice

This episode was so weird lol

Holly (Taylor Smith)

I can't STANNDD this episode. Y'all are so right, Tyreese SOO sorry, going out like that always seemed soo pathetic to me. AND get ready for after this episode Sasha is gonna be permanently SOO annoying!

Constantdev

They did my guy so dirty

UndergroundKing 1990

I forgot all about blind Clayton Bigsby. He was from the first season of the Chappelle show back in 2003.

Jess Here

I get that Tyreese's vulnerability was children but they could've been a bit more tasteful and sensical with his death. He really didn’t hear kid comin up? And had Noah been more capable he could've gotten to the group sooner to save Tyreese. That being said, this was probably the trippiest and most poetic tributes in the show for a character. Love the surreal and first person perspective shots throughout it. Respect and R.I.P to a helpful legend who left with his morality intact . ✊🏾 Also not sure if someone mentioned it, but above The Governors head starting at 34:48.. it says DEAD on the door next to Tyreese . Foreshadowing the way it was always going to go.

MarcusF

This episode was laced with A LOT of foreshadowing. 11.54 minute mark, the writing on the wall..... Glenn referencing the guy he released from the storage container back in Terminus.... Glenn picking up that sports object.... The W's It was still a very good episode though, I enjoyed it a lot.

gayjinchuriki

I would say Michigan/Wisconsin. Access to the largest Great Lakes (fresh water/technically both are on coasts$, long and cold winters (maybe the zombies would freeze?) and plenty of farming land.

kraekay

After this episode I was convinced the writers just wantwd to hwt rid of some characters to make room for new ones. They decided to kill off the weakers characters Like Bob Beth and Tyresse. Pretty messed up.

Rasheed Mohammed

They're not in Georgia anymore, they left when Noah told Rick that Beth was going to go with him to help him get home. They went to Virginia for Noah and now they're going to head to Washington because of Eugene again lol

Fellerz

😊Tyrese dying set our group back fr he’s so strong ❤️the sub out on the edns is crazy but true walking dead does that😊

jessica cantrell

Yep! The Expanse! Love that show and Tyrese's character—the Butcher of Anderson Station, Fred Johnson—the OPA leader.

SonjaB29

The man talking on the radio when Tyrese got bit is Rick(Andrew Lincoln) real voice!

Jaimie-Lea Livingstone

Speaking of domino effect.. If Beth escaped from the hospital in stead of Noah then Beth and Tyrese would still be alive.

Tyrademi

Yes! I've heard others say this too.

Owlie

Tyrese done. Not made for this world. He's the guy who saves babies. He is not Sasha. Too focused on how it was before - the pics of the house, the twins... So focused he was careless and did not clock the 2 doors. But he was listening to the news. He forgave, but couldn't kill Terminus dude. I believe the news was about the genocide in Rwanda, where the Hutu majority brutally killed their Tutsi neighbors while the UN peacekeeping forces just watched and our president refused to intervene. He listened, but just could not bear it. RIP gentle soul. HOWEVER, the one black man rule stands. UGH! Do these writers even realize what's going on?! So frustrating.

EliG

Montana. lots of guns and not many people. Or a small island. Aren't there some islands off the coast of Georgia? IN NYC we got a couple of islands. One called Rat Island which has room for one guy and his beach chair. Not lying.

EliG

Tyrese, speaking to the hallucination governor is one of my favorite speeches from a character in the whole show. It showed that he’s keeping true to himself whether it is or isn’t the end. Showing that even Dale if he was willing to fight when it needed to happen could’ve made it fairly far also.

Cole hauser

I've always blame Noah. He seen what the community was like there was no way his family was going to survive so why let that be the last image you have of them? R.I.P. Tyresse you annoyed me sometimes with the way you acted but I sure didn't want to see to go. That voice over the radio telling the news is Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln. The 1st time I heard him spoke in his natural voice I was floor and then when I rewatched the series I realized it was him lol. First Beth now Tyresse double loss for our group in a matter of weeks. Now on to E10.

Cleo Griffith

I think central america would be the best place to go in a apocalypse, central america as in Panama

Jamarion Rich

His death hit harder than Beth’s. Poor Judith lost both of her babysitters

ReelPiscesPlays

I remember not even crying during Beth’s death. Mane watching these two again! Yal got me crying. I forgot how much I liked Tyreese. 😭😭 I truly hate this for Sasha and Maggie. Losing your siblings so close together. They couldn’t even mourn Beth long enough before Tyreese kicked it. I don’t blame Noah cuz Tyreese should have watched his back more. I don’t think this was a stupid mission, but they should have stuck together more.

Sierra Davis

I believe Rick was the one with the British accent on the radio lol

Iris D

Its really because this show relies heavily on your emotions when characters die if not where does the story go its only so much you can do in this setting this is why i feel like it gets stale this is the beginning of the end of this show’s creativity down from here

Leon Johnson

The real reason Tyrese had to go is because he got an major role in another show and the writer/director started to use the “tired of this world” writing to write him off that’s why it felt like an unexpecting but not kind of death

N7

Yall uploading everyday can i get one tomorrow too?

Danger Tomato

Lol

Heavenly Demon

This episode reminds us that literally anyone can go at any moment. Yes, Tyreese fought hoardes of walkers, but all it takes is 1. It's like Veterans who survive fighting in war, but die by falling down the stairs. I really like this episode, just seeing what it's like from the POV of someone who's bit and watching everything crumble around them. The hallucinations, the internal conflict, questioning every decision that got you here, something artsy about it. I think this episode will grow on you, a beautiful piece.

CorsonDrax

Same

Candice T.

Losing Beth and Tyreese back-to-back was like a stabbing and twisting of the knife. Two of the more optimistic and good faith characters being written off in the same season? So upsetting.

girlboss

Oh can’t wait to watch this tonight. The build up to what’s coming is driving me crazy

La'Toya Davis

While watching your reaction, I realized that's Andrew Lincoln's voice over the radio—he's speaking in his natural voice. Other than that, I hated this episode! I agree with your comments about Tyrese's death. His arc was cut short, and it felt incomplete. By the time the writing and filming of TWD season 5, Game of Thrones' influence on pop culture was in full swing. The Red Wedding had aired the year prior. I think many shows started killing off main characters for shock value.

Rindamarie

Tyrese was tired of that world. Looking forward to your next reaction video.

Shawanda Hafford

This is why everyone hates Chris

Austin Hogan

Tyreese was strong but he LET HIS GUARD DOWN. you can not do that in the apocalypse, no matter how strong you are

Guyton

To reference about Michonne saying that you can be out there too long she's totally right about that Rick has turned really dark by saying he just wanted to kill Dawn that it really didn't have anything to do with Beth and Glenn sweet Glenn saying the same thing that is what Michonne is talking about it's kind of hard for me to comment on this episode without being emotional I knew Tyrese was gone when he starts seeing everybody it was like the devil and the angel on either side of his shoulder he was watching his life pass before his eyes thinking about all the things he'd been through all the places that he went all the people that he met this is really sad I know a lot of people think that Tyrese didn't have nothing to bring to the group but he was important to his sister that he meant something to her I feel so bad for Maggie and Sasha. Now Addison and Brandon you guys have got to go to the next episode😭❤️

Queen S

All southeastern states would survive as there are more guns than people and crazy people praying for the end just to crash out in glorious fashion

Austin Hogan

18:06 🤓

Austin Hogan

I’m crying like a baby as if I didn’t know what was going to happen.. R.I.P. Tyrese, he wasn’t made for that world

Hannah Riley

Hearing Brandon talking about meth reminded me of an old fan theory. That the stuff in Walter White’s blue meth is what started the zombie apocalypse in TWD.

Latinblu1

Tyrees didn’t want to live that life no more. He saw what it was willing to take and even tho he’s very much capable, he didn’t want to be that guy. He didn’t want to be a Shane. Rick had no choice but to be a Shane

Samuel Daley

Thanks for uploading today. I really needed the distraction 💜

Felice Jackson

I think Tyrese’s death symbolize his gentleness. He was a gentle giant, and his weakness was always children.

Ayruzii

I'd argue we lost Beth and Tyrese more for Maggie and Sasha's plots than for Noah. Personally, I think that even if Noah didn't exist, we still would've lost Beth and Tyrese this season because of what their deaths bring to the remaining characters and the themes of the season overall.

Feather_Noir

Fun fact the voice on the radio when Tyrese was going through it was Rick’s actual voice

Connor Lewis

we really lost beth & tyrese for the plot of noah/chris… i’ll never forgive the writers for this😒

gabby

I think yall forgot they sent in Georgia anymore. They are 500 miles away now in VA!

Ginger Snaps

honestly didn’t feel a type of way about losing tyrese. he wasn’t made for this world. he didn’t want to do what it takes to survive and protect the people around him. imo he didn’t really help the group or provide in any productive way (besides watching judith). he hurt the group more than help. always trying to tell people to not be violent or hurt people which is practically unavoidable. if he searched the house and was aware of his surroundings, he wouldn’t have got bit. it was 100% unavoidable but like i said he just doesn’t have it in him. he’s too pensive and deep in thought. you always clear the place before walking around blindly. but it’s like he wasn’t adapting or changing in the way he needed to survive. BUT the cinematography in this episode is top tier. the directing, the acting, all good. even bringing the characters back was a nice touch (minus the governors evil ass lmao). i like how the repeating theme of “being outside too long” keeps getting brought up. rick has gone feral (and rightfully so), with everyone else following close behind. it’s a tough dichotomy bc that toughness is needed to survive but you can also get lost in the animalism. it’s kill or be killed at this point.

courtney

The way Judith will probably never remember Tyrese 🥲

Ayruzii

I’m not going to say too much, but Michonne disappointment is important !

Ayruzii

Everybody hated Chris after loosing Beth and Tyrese

Jasmin Holmes

🥲

Blue Rankin

It was a gift. -Adison
