2024-08-10 16:34:03 +0000 UTCTrust between Dani and Jorah was broken she's not overreacting (although she can overreact on many things). If she were overreacting she would have ordered him killed for treason. She still cares for him so is banishing him instead. She can't keep someone that close to her who she can no longer trust.

2024-08-07 18:16:08 +0000 UTCI’d say it’s a parallel for all the senseless violence in the world. Essentially Tyrion has done nothing wrong, yet he’s about to be sentenced to death, through two men killing each other also. In the end there’s no real answer to it. Very bleak.

2024-08-07 08:00:42 +0000 UTCI actually agree with you about the Danny/Jorah thing. She has always been extremely reactive and hot headed with her personality so, yes, I agree she was too emotional .... but in a way rightfully so?? -- her most trusted ally was a lying snitch for a looong time, what a huge betrayal. But it was a very typically reactive moment.

2024-08-07 04:51:37 +0000 UTCFedEx definitely was not around to deliver that pardon, but considering that seasons have passed, King Robert has BEEN dead, plus kings landing is getting other info back and forth about the dragons and the armies etc but somehow the pardon got delayed and delivered just now (& wasnt that the hand of the king wax stamp on it?) ... AND to Ser Barriston, not Jorah. That felt like a play in itself. How do you think Tyrion felt watching the fight play out? It's his life on the line and he could almost taste his freedom once the Mountain fell, but Oberyn was single minded and had his own motives and priorities. He wanted justice out of the fight but it was not justice for Tyrion. And Tywin was so quick on the death sentencing because the Mountain was on his way out too.

2024-08-06 21:38:30 +0000 UTCSansa thinks all of her siblings are deceased. Also, treason, even today, is punishable by death. The first scene opened with Ned beheading a kid for abandoning his post, what do you think he would have done to someone who betrayed him? Dany was merciful to Jah because she loved him. Any other character would have executed him. Not really about being “emotional.” But nah, I love Littlefinger as well. He’s the most intelligent character and was my favorite.

2024-08-06 20:05:08 +0000 UTCI think it was a parallel for how powerless he felt in the moment. He’s the beetle that simple people love to crush for no real reason other than they want to. Also shows the violent nature of their world that even the simplest person is aggressive just because.

2024-08-06 09:53:30 +0000 UTCI feel like people like Ramsay and jofferey aren’t into either men or women, they are attracted to gore, torture and violence, like most sadistic serial killers you hear about on the news. They get off seeing people in pain and misery.

2024-08-06 02:21:24 +0000 UTCThat Sansa speech is one of my favorite scenes of the whole series. Such a pivotal moment for her as a character.

2024-08-06 02:08:09 +0000 UTCI always wondered what that Tyrone speech was about…the one about his cousin and smashing the beetles. Why did the show runners decide to include that, and why was that on his mind? Was there some deeper significance to the story? Were the viewers or Jamie supposed to learn something from it, or was he just trying to distract himself from the upcoming trial by combat?

2024-08-05 22:58:13 +0000 UTCRe: Sansa "not caring about her siblings anymore," she thinks she's the last of the Starks. She knows Robb is dead. Arya is missing and presumed dead (Brienne told Hot Pie as much), and Theon told everyone he killed Bran and Rickon (and only the Boltons know that's a lie). So Sansa, like 99.9% of the kingdom, thinks she's the only "Stark" left (Jon isn't a Stark by name, he's a Snow, and he's also stuck at The Wall as part of the Night's Watch). So she misses her family but she's just trying to survive, she doesn't know reunions are possible and she's not in a position to seek justice right now.

2024-08-05 16:12:48 +0000 UTCI just want to point out that the actual army of the dead is called something different from the actual white walkers. The dead zombies are “whites” which the white walkers have risen from the dead. The white walkers are the guys capable of doing the magic, as you seen them turn the baby into a white walker, NOT a white. Also Jorah put Dany’s life in danger several times by working as a spy for people who wanted her dead. Why would she think to keep him around? I don’t think it matters he saved her that one time. He still betrayed her so he has to pay the consequences. If I was in her shoes I’d do the same thing. Would you keep someone around who did that to you? The others on her counsel never lied about their past, he did. It’s a difference.

2024-08-05 13:02:15 +0000 UTCWhen he said he doesn't want to come back to this world, he meant as a white walker. Remember the dead get turned unless you burn the body.

2024-08-05 12:12:42 +0000 UTCThe Viper wanted The Mountain to admit it was Tywins orders so that Dorne could go to war with the Lannisters and they’ll get vengeance for Ilya. That’s was the only way
Mel Issa
2024-08-05 10:55:28 +0000 UTCFunny that Brandon haven’t yet learned that ‘you deserve something’ doesn’t mean you’ll get it. The good guys don’t always win as we say with Ned
Mel Issa
2024-08-05 10:52:27 +0000 UTCThat's where Jorah fucked up, i think that's what hurt Dany's trust the most even more so than him being a spy to begging with , it's the fact that he still hadn't come forward about it up to that point, she probably felt like it would be impossible to trust him again after that cause why haven't you told me all this time?
GreekGuyReacts
2024-08-05 10:35:52 +0000 UTCI think that if Jorah had actually revealed the fact that he was send to spy on her sooner she would have accepted him, the issue came with him never revealing that information to her up to that point, her needing to be informed by somebody else instead of her most trusted advisor letting her know the minute he saved her back when that wine merchant tried to poison her.

2024-08-05 10:34:32 +0000 UTCOh! The horror! I still can’t get that image out of my head, even after all these years.

2024-08-05 09:50:05 +0000 UTCYo Dany is being merciful with Jorah, dojn't project 21st Century social dynamics onto a feudal society. Treason is the one crime a ruler cannot be lenient on - even today sedition is crazy. She is being incredibly lenient by sparing him, it's only because she cares for him so much.
Mzuka
2024-08-05 07:48:15 +0000 UTCWhat are you talking about? Robert sent that assassin because Jorah leaked the info that she was pregnant, he was directly responsible. It had nothing to do with where the khalasar was moving, Robert was paranoid and hates Targaryens.
Mzuka
2024-08-05 07:46:15 +0000 UTCjorah aint my favorite character but blaming him for drogo and rhaego is a crazy reach if we wanna point out every point that led up to drogo moving the khalasar like that then we can talk about daenerys actively tryna persuade him to do it while braiding his hair too

2024-08-05 06:17:46 +0000 UTCIn defense of the Unsullied they were slave babies taken from there mothers immediately castrated when they were chosen, and then to make sure they fully mentally broke these children they forced them to kill babies or die. And for men that this is all they’ve known since they were little boys it wasn’t really a choice. They didn’t have an autonomy it was like they were robots. It wasn’t an easy or happy thing for them to kill those babies.

2024-08-05 04:45:54 +0000 UTCI hate Oberyn died because he was standing 10 toes down for his sister and I respect that.

2024-08-05 04:39:52 +0000 UTCI agree that Dany made a rash decision, but he was the very first person to be kind to her when she was a naive girl and the only one she could trust, and she’s lost everybody. Jorah was supposed to be the most loyal and their entire friendship was a lie from the start, that’s hard to hear. Definitely shouldn’t send him away but I get her.

2024-08-05 04:19:49 +0000 UTCBrandon's voice in the beginning was 'Get Out' Brandon 100%, not audiobook Brandon 😂

2024-08-05 04:17:31 +0000 UTCSomething to remember about Sansa when you said her thinking about her siblings as far as Sansa knows: Jon- Wall Robb- Dead Theon- Betrayed Robb Arya- missing since father’s beheading with no word, so probably dead Bran and Rickon- murdered by Theon As far as she’s concerned all of her siblings are dead, and her and Jon were never close and he’s at the dang Wall and they’ve been separated for years. She doesn’t have all the information we do as far as she and most people are concerned she is the heir (sorta) to winterfell, whoever marries her and the son they have will take over because she is the only Stark left. So at this point she has to look out for herself. Because the rest of them know she’s alive.
