2024-11-20 13:13:37 +0000 UTCcatelyn made some mistakes, but she was on point with her political moves. she told rob not to trust theon, and look what happened. she told rob to keep his word and marry the frey girl, and he used her moment of weakness against her to defy his own word. i also give her grace for jaime because it's not her fault he killed his own cousin, but she knew he'd be killed in the camp. if he's killed, they have no bargaining chip, so her daughter(s) lives would be forfeit. she did what she felt she needed to out of desperation. Catelyn also didn't accept the marriage for Rob, if you go back, she specifically asks him if he accepts and he asked "can I refuse?" And she said "not if you want to cross." Whole reason they treated with Frey was to cross the bridge, so he said "then I consent." so he consented, she didn't make him. He could have refused and they'd send a letter to refuse.

So Bran is alot stronger than other wargs. Keep watching its well worth it! I was so shocked by the Red Wedding too!

I promise once you start watching Season 4, though, you quickly get back into the mindset of "I wonder what happens next" and, like Ned's death, it becomes an event you move past and find new reasons to hope.

Many scenes contain that stuff in whole new ways to shock the audience in the rest of the show. If they have a line and this is hurting them, I fully support them if they decide it isn’t good for their mental or spiritual health to go through so many more seasons of this. In fact, I was planning to unsubscribe from their Patreon when they finish GoT and just watch them on YouTube, then come back to Patreon for the next season of Wheel of Time. To be clear, right now I’m here for GoT. BUT I PROMISE NOW, if this channel stops watching this specific show because it’s harming them emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or contributing to any depression, I WILL STAY ON THIS PATREON for as many months as they would spend finishing the show (and maybe I’ll love something else they react to and stay even longer). I applaud a lot of the wisdom they’ve dropped in their reactions, and I trust them to be wise in deciding whether or not something is bad for them.

She could have sent Brother beard braid down there as we don’t want the raven getting in the wrong hands. If she stayed in Winterfell, it would not have burnt down… the story won’t be as good…but she should have stayed. She went to Kings Landing to make sure Ned was not going to bring another son home. I said what I said lol. But RIP Cat, you loved your kids (should have loved Jon too)

The top priority of that marriage would be to produce an heir. She couldn't conceive even under the most horrible of conditions. #NoRamsay P.S. Robb does not take Jeyne (his wife) to the wedding; she is left behind, shows up very briefly in the next book and is never heard from again. Robb's reason for marrying her was even worse in the books: he married her b/c...they slept together one night. That Ned Stark honor crap will get you KILLED.

Even though it wasn't the whole Stark family, that's what it felt like. It was a gut punch because you've been rooting for this family. I got my hopes up for Arya's reunion with her family... I couldn't even sleep that night. I...WAS...SHOOK. But that's what makes the show so great, the highs and lows. This is a low but the highs are coming, quick. Hang in there fellas. The show ain't ova!

In the book it plays out a little differently with a rising sense of dread because Robb delays eating the meat and salt which would give him guest rights, and Catelyn relaxes as soon as he eats it because they're protected! But they do the unthinkable.
