i'm rewatching it before i watch their reactions to season two i totally get where you're coming from but barb didn't want to go in the first place, nancy said they could hang and she could be like her chaperone that's not how you treat your friends. If nancy wanted to go get freaky then i wouldn't have made my friend go with me just to ignore her when i can already see that's not where she wants to be. Barb made it clear multiple times that she didn't want to go but she went for nancy. So i understand why they are like it's her fault barb would've been home and not by that pool by herself when what happened to her happened in the first place. Now nancy looking for her is a good thing but in the end she shouldn't have pressured her to go...

Granted she used her to take her to the party just to ditch her, but Barb knew exactly what Nancy was going to the party for and still chose to go. Nancy told her to go home not to wait for her even if it was the right thing to do. She was a bad friend in that moment n it just so happened to be in a moment that cost her her life, but that doesn’t mean she’s a bad friend all around she was just selfish in that moment. So what she wanted to get freaky w Steve instead of going w her friend, she’s human at the end of the day, mistake or not. That was her BEST FRIEND, that doesn’t just go away from one mess up, she has the right to be loyal to figuring out what happened to barb.

That's why (in the US) the VA will pay for headstones (in perpetuity) for veterans, because such things are trivial costs in the big picture. As a society, I'm with Brandon on this one. If we as a society cannot at least make sure babies are born under proper care, and the dead are buried (or cremated), then we're not much of a society.
