2025-04-12 17:04:18 +0000 UTCI'm super late on this but 46:20 when you asked which is worse between not knowing a parent vs. knowing but them not being prevalent, as someone who has some form of experience with each, I would say it's worse to know and them not be present in your life. I grew up with my dad, and my mother went off to do her own thing. From the stories I hear, she was involved in drugs and gangs, and that's why she wasn't ever around. My father, on the other hand, he doesn't know who his father is. Was raised by his mom and her husband. As far as he was ever concerned, his mother's husband (my grandpa) is the only father that he ever needed, and to hell with whoever dipped out. For me though, I had to struggle with seeing my mom not care, nor be around, or have other priorities other than her sons. I had to become acquainted with knowing a parent rejects the life with her kids. I think that hurt me more than never knowing her in the first place would. However, I think each person has their own personalized experience, and the same cannot be said for all

Sam has a younger brother. I can guarantee he would've been ok with that. Sam knows he isn a leader or strong willed. but his brother is. you can't just be jumping to murdering your kids because they aren't great leaders.

Viserys made a huge deal of naming his first son after Aegon The Conqueror to "fulfill his visions and assure his destiny as a great leader" and then Rhanerys also named a son Aegon. It's like asking what King Henry of England we are talking about - there are so many.

Some are good and become great, some are bad and find redemption, some are unlikeable and become right out hated monsters! I don’t think I ever hated fictional characters as much as I did on GoT! Or rooted so intensely for the good guys. You guys have a really good gut instinct though on who is what! As far as Ned’s family, you are right. They are all GOATs one way or another, sooner or later.

2024-04-11 10:29:42 +0000 UTCAlso Aegon the Conqueror who built the throne isn't the same Aegon in House of the Dragon, he is mentioned in that show though as having the prophecy. If you remember when Viserys was on his deathbed and thought he was talking to Rheanyra he mentioned Aegons dream to Alicent and she thought that he meant her son Aegon as being the Prince that was Promised to unite the realm against the cold, but he was talking about Aegon the Conqueror . Another fun fact is the dagger that was used to try and kill Bran in GOT, it's the same dagger from house of the dragon that has the prophecy inscribed on it when heated, and the one Alicent took from Viserys and cut Rhaenyra with :)
