2024-04-08 03:37:07 +0000 UTCThis isn’t a spoiler but more an explanation that is wayyy better explained in the Harry Potter books. Leta Lestrange isn’t related to Bellatrix. Now Bellatrix comes from a noble magical family called Black and got married to Rodolphus Lestrange. Tho the Black family is literally so huge that their could be a possibility of them being related to some extent haha Also Sirius and Regulus are cousins of Narcissa Malfoy (mother of Draco), Andromeda Tonks (mother of Nymphadora) and Bellatrix Lestrange as those three are sisters. The Weasleys and potters are also distantly related to the blacks…so you could say that Harry, Ron (etc) and Draco are distantly related 😂

Yes Harry Potter is better but also has 8 movies to build a plot whereas these had just 3 (I believe a 4th one got cancelled). Furthermore I really liked seeing another magical world than in the UK or more specifically England (at least most of the times) and of course magical creatures.

2024-04-06 18:26:33 +0000 UTCThe other two Fantastic Beasts movies aren’t bad, it’s just hard to find the connecting thread even though you know what that thread is. So watch them if you want, but don’t go into it with expectations of what it should be. However, the Maze Runner series would be a good series to get into. It’s 3 movies and is kind of like hunger games in a loose sense.

2024-04-04 05:19:15 +0000 UTCI personally really like the Fantastic Beasts movies, but mostly the first one. The next ones are good but the plots feel a bit all over the place. Still, very enjoyable. And also, I have to say, and it may be controversial take but I don't like Johnny Depp as Grindelwald. He was in the first and second movie but was replaced for the third movie [because of the whole Amber Heard thing] by Mads Mikkelsen who I think did an amazing job in portraying Grindelwald. Johnny Depp you could see at the end of the first movie, is playfully cruel while Mads Mikkelsen's portrayal of the character seems very different, yet more believable, in my opinion. I hope to hear you guys' opinion on that when you get to the last movie!
