I think it was half Joel "is not a good person" and half the dude was paralyzed from the gun shot. May be a mercy kill at that point.

I think what makes this writing so amazing is how they bring the question of morality and what is the right decision to make in an ethically heavy set of circumstances. To me, Joel’s decisions are based on his past personal experiences, including the 20yrs of survival that we haven’t fully been shown. They aren’t always easy, and aren’t always the way that others would do, but I think that makes for intriguing conversation. How would you handle these situations when typical societal norms have been altered for 20yrs. Keep up the amazing work!! ❤️
