Sayoko again, I love Sayoko

I was about to start the post with a joke, but patreon hit me with a big warning message for inappropriate content, apparently I can't write "suck-ing", here, in my +18 account, the one about a +18 game, the one that clearly states says in the bio "Creating NSFW art and stories", because it goes against community guidelines, cause you know, it's pornographic content, and we can't allow it.

Anyway, I, as the genius I am, after seeing doing an animation would take to much time, decided that the best course to take was doing another animation, spoilers, it wasn't.

I was doing my best at not knowing how to manage my time, and when I looked at the calendar, that one that's always in the corner of the screen, it was the 25th, and I had almost nothing to show, so I entered panic mode.

I had some troubles thinking on what kind of thing you might do with Sayoko that doesn't involve one of my animation ideas, and then I came to the realization that she want to do friend stuff.

And so I thought about going to the beach. Makes sense as a friends activity, and gives plenty of room to more spicy stuff, but then I thought, Sayoko doesn't ring me as the kind to be comfortable wearing a swimsuit, or the kind to even have one.

If Sayoko got herself a swimsuit, before doing anything else, she would probably try to show it to her dear friend.

And that would be the context to what's happening in screen.

Now, about the technicalities about it, first, seeing it now on the second monitor, maybe I made her skin a little to bright, but I'm not sure, a little feedback there would be appreciated (the first one is properly shaded, the second one has plain colors, as it isn't finished).

Then, some of you might have already noticed, but the images are more vertical than horizontal, and while in some other situations, one can get away easily with that, the limited screen size of a pixelated game means I can show all the picture in one go, not without completely destroying it in the process, so, in an attempt to reach a compromise, I plan on making you see the upper part most of the time, something like:

And doing some camera movements a few times to get a glimpse of her lower half, and then giving more freedom to see it when rewatching the arts in the gallery. I'm not sure how much of a freedom I can give, but I'll try my best.

And as a final point, and one that, honestly, kinda hit my ego; on the first frame I spent something around a day and a half making the best lineart I could, while the second one was supposed to be just a cleaner sketch, that took me like 2 hours, made only to look good enough for the post here, but looking at them side by side, the difference is almost unnoticeable, and when looking at how they would like in game, it's like... why do I even try man

Anyway, between today and yesterday I read Uzumaki, at first I thought it wasn't that crazy, that the story wasn't that crazy or creepy, and that the manga was carried by Ito amazing skills at drawing unsettling stuff, but now I can't stop thinking about spirals and snails... the fucking snails.

Sayoko again, I love Sayoko Sayoko again, I love Sayoko

If you're looking for a palate cleanser, I highly recommend Junji Ito's Cat Diary. I've heard it said that comedy and horror are two sides of the same coin, and Cat Diary is a perfect example.
