$25+ Patreon-Only Vlog #1 (first one is for ALL Patrons!)

Hey Guys!

I have added the $25 tier that will include Patreon-only vlogs about what is going on in my life, as well as the Podcast Vlogs that will go live next month once the pledge amount goes through. This will also give me some time to figure out how to make a video a podcast... Haha!

Starting next Patreon-only vlog, only $25+ Patrons will get to see them! This is just a little teaser and introduction for everyone as an announcement of the new tier!

I am still a bit under the weather. I took my Nyquil last night and slept through the whole day, missing yesterday's uploads! :(

Everything will be on track again today! I'll be answering as many messages as possible this morning, then making the belated Sex Ed and Losing My Virginity videos today! Oh, and streaming, of course! :)

LOVE YOU!

Tara <3

ps. Thank you so much for sticking by me through everything! I am so lucky to have you! :)

Haha, that's crazy! I've definitely watched Night of the Living Dead, though. :) My parents love classics and horror films. :)

Tara Babcock

Yeah. It was stressing me a lot because I love a clean house, but never had the whole day to devote to it. >.<

Tara Babcock

Yay! Glad you approve! :) Can't wait to see what I think of next! I wanna keep adding as much as I can! <3

Tara Babcock

Yeah, Vegas is nice. I can go to conventions all the time and live a couple minutes from the strip in the suburbs! :D

Tara Babcock

Casino comps? I've never gambled, haha.

Tara Babcock

I always considered buying a house in Vegas since I go there almost every month, but Casino comps are much cheaper if you gamble a lot.

Alejandro Carvajal

I'm here in Vegas when you need some advice :) parts of town etc! Been here for 17 years or so and LOVE it.

*Good morning sleeping beauty*. I like the idea of Patreon-only vlogs and the price seems fair. And we are also lucky to have you, making awesome content for us and just been u <3

...So ghouls then. If you're unsure what they're about, they're undead monsters that hang about in graveyards and eat the dead. The idea mainly came about from where the word comes from: 'ghoul' comes from the Arabic word 'ghul' meaning 'demon'. So what were zombies before they were 'zombies'? Before George Romero gave the popular culture lexicon that word, they were 'revenants', from latin word 'revenien' meaning 'returned'. It was an idea that grew throughout Europe, particularly during plagues. Many would do things like chop off heads of corpses or burn them, to stop 'evil returning to our world'. In places like Ireland and Scotland, you'd find dead buried with the head placed in their lap. Or with a stone placed in the skull's mouth so they couldn't bite you, should they return from the dead. Sometimes graves would get covered with stones and boulders so they couldn't break out. Hm, maybe next time we'll look at how this stuff went on to give us vampires. Don't ruin yourself, Tara, and have a lovely day

Oh. How about some trivia on where zombies come from? The notion of zombies as we know them today came mainly from George Romero's Night of the Living Dead in the 60s. Pop culture knows them by the word 'zombie', but the idea of the dead returning is something that's been around for 1000s of years and you can find them, in one form or another, in many cultures around the world. The word 'zombie' comes from a Tribagon word: 'zambi'. (Tribago is a country on the West Coast of Africa.) Between voodoo culture and those taking drugs in the form of various plants they eat or drink, that leaves one in a zombie-like state, a lot things got misattributed to the undead. They have a swath of curious rituals and beliefs surrounding the dead. Somethings you can see people wondering around with a pouch hanging on a string around their neck, supposedly this a person that's been resurrected by a voodoo priest. (Bit of silliness, that is. Bet if they had video games they wouldn't carry on with all that.) To be continued...

Good thinking with the house cleaner. I get one in once a month to clean my place too, cause once you get busy; it becomes hard to find the time. It's good you're working on things to improve your life, make things easier on yourself; you do a lot and don't need little annoyances in the way.
