Coffee Story 20250630 Beach Episode

The beach story event is ~80% playable. Only final scene with Kari has not been implemented yet, but I feel like I need to make an update since it's the end of the month.

Will likely have to wait till the next weekend now to complete.

* This one is much more free form. The player can actually move around the beach initiating sequences.

* There are also variations depending on how you tackle problems. Probably worth playing through twice.

* There are minor differences depending on whether PC is male or female as well.

* Everyone gets some time, but this is mostly Kari focused. I think.

You can press f1 to immediately start the event. I suggest doing so in the afternoon to get the right shaders.

Organically, you initiate it by traveling to the beach from home after meeting the requirement. (Haven't tested this)

Requirements: Found Kari in the dream world, Sleepover done, talk to Kari about weather.

Random Thoughts

* I'm happy how this one turned out.

* I think this will solidify some of the speculations.

* Making the water look remotely plausible was a challenge.

* I've done some changes to the dialogue system that will causes movement routes to instantly complete when new instructions are sent. This will make dialogue skips much quicker, as it makes waiting until an NPC finishes moving unnecessary. Of course, I didn't change any previous story sequences to reflect this, but moving forward it should be much easier to skip content. Maybe I'll overhaul the previous events as well at some point.

* I think this is the last Slice of Life event for now. I'll try tackling character specific content and working on an "ending" next. I guess it has to be Kari, since she's everyone's favorite. Speaking of which, I should run another pole to see where we're at with character development.

* The beach event itself ends a bit prematurely. I wanted to have a BBQ, but then I realized I actually have to make a BBQ set and I ran out of time.

Okay, so I'm having trouble accessing the beach content. when I try to go to location beach, I arrive in a modern version of the manor instead, and in two attempts, I have managed to crash the game once when trying to access the infinite corridor which instead leads to a room with a strange stuff on the table (when interacted to, crashes the game.) and on the other attempt, i took the elevator, and ended in labs but the dream sequence, all while being very awake, which means there was no way to leave. Something tells me this is not behaving as intended... am I doing something wrong or what ?

I originally had MC surrounded from all sides, but it looked weird. Thanks. Sorry about the door. I did warn I haven't tested whether it worked organically. Also, the requirements should probably have the dream home unlocked instead of just the sleepover.

This is very neat, the beach theme is tickling my nostalgia bone but I can't seem to recall from whence the melody might be familiar but it sets the tone well. Especially when Kari absolutely chills the atmosphere when she finds MC accosted by the trio lol. (Though in the dialogue she mentions four lads instead I'm sure that's just a typo.) I really like that there are multiple ways to tackle the beachside assists. The option to go to the beach from the front door leads to Yuri's mansion instead? Somehow? Probably off by one on the map number I guess. The interaction bug was already reported by the time I got around to play this version. Favourite scene: Sentient Shibari Seaweed. lol, lmao even Favourite line this update: Nanami: Mr. Squidrabbit is very sensitive about his appearance. Yuri: Good! He should be! He' a crime against nature!
