Such a funny and creative way to get around a real-life production issue and also a fun little commentary on how stagnant characters are in shows like this, and of course the animation in this episode was insane (and the songs were fire idc). I love that episode so so much. The fan is also a really funny one and I enjoy Sarah because she genuinely is an accurate (of course exaggerated) depiction of what some middle school girls are like.

2024-11-23 04:14:16 +0000 UTCWelcome to Season 3 of Gumball! It's probably my favorite season, with new changes starting, of course, with the Voice Actors. The Kids is such a great portrayal of growing up, especially when it comes to voices. So yes, Gumball and Darwin do have multiple Voice Actors that span multiple seasons. Seasons 1-2 were Logan Grove and Kwesi Boakye, and now we have Jacob Hopkins and Terrell Ransom Jr. to voice them since Logan and Kwesi eventually got deeper voices and couldn't do them anymore. As much as I love their voices in seasons 1-2, season 3 and beyond really solidified the characters for who they are going forward. it's like Logan helped create the base for Gumball, and Jacob gets to build off that and form Gumball into the definitive version of him. The Kids also mark the second Guest Animated Segment! The first one was during Season 2, "The Words," where Gumball and Darwin were in a roast battle in a street fighter-like pixel art style. I should note that there are multiple Guest Artists throughout the series, and they're always so charming and fun every time they come up. The song "Make the Most of It" segment was animated by the CRCR collective, who made multiple indents for Cartoon Network in 2013. Just when you think Gumball Art and Animation can't get better, the creators still manage to outdo themselves. Sarah returns! Which now makes her a recurring character in the show. This episode introduces what her personality is: the obsessive stalker type. A lot of people like/dislike her character because of this, but I think this episode shows that she's more than that. She's a nerd who likes obsessing over things such as cliches and tropes, which can understandably make her feel like an outcast, especially when she's the new kid in the school. It made sense when the only people who would pay attention to her were Gumball and Darwin; she'd become attracted to them. I also like this creative side of her, where she purposefully makes jokes to add a laugh track, adds fitting music to whatever situation she is in, and even the little drawings she made of Gumball and Darwin to express her infatuation with them, even if it's a little creepy. She can be a little weird, but honestly, what character in Gumball isn't a little weird?
