We all miss Peridot, it was really disheartening seeing how she was slowly falling out of relevance after Season 3. This episode was a wonderful treat to all of us who love her and her antics.

It took me a brief second when watching for the first time to notice that in the final dream Steven "woke up" into his old bedroom, and thus was still dreaming. Clever tell. It's also pretty realistic, I think? I still to this day dream about my childhood home despite having not lived there for eight years. I also think the Connie + Obsidian combo that showed up was super interesting. Its meaning is kinda ambiguous to me, too, which I like. A jealous/upset Connie showing up in place of the fictional character that he was about to kiss makes sense, given his pretty obvious feelings for her- but I can't place an immediate meaning for the Connsidian thing. Sometimes dreams just can't fully be explained, ahah. Peridot best Gem ;w; Always super happy to see her
