This feels like a flashback to the Baratie, in more ways than one. At least Luffy's getting a bit more respect from the getgo this time, deserved or not.

2024-11-05 22:49:27 +0000 UTCYes, but just to be clear..... the name of Marine Base is G-8 but the island itself is called Navarone. it's been a while since i've seen this arc so im just re-learning some of the details in it at the same time you do Mikey, but DAMN..... i didn't remember that those 2 Cooks who encountered Nami said that they came from Marie Jois. Those 2 must be some really good cooks if they used to work in the place where the 5 Elders reside (the leaders of the World Goverment you saw at the end of Jaya), as well as being the place where the meeting of Kings take place (the "Reverie" that was shown in the Drum Island Arc). For a Filler Arc.... Toei certainly didn't hold back when it came to animating it, like.... look at scene of Zoro chasing his swords while they fall.... it's so smoothly animated it's almost jarring to see. I was certianly surprised by it the first time i watched this arc. and to asnwer your question... Yes, the arc does have 10 episodes... it ends on episode 206.
