The attack name "Raigo" is very interesting because unlike the rest of Enel's techniques this one is not the name of a Thunder God. Instead is a term used in Japanese Folklore (Japanese Buddhism) that literally means "Welcoming Approach" which refers to the action that Amitabha (an aspect of Buddha) does to welcome the spirits of the dead into the Pure Land (which is very fitting giving Enel's intentions here). In this case tho... the Kanji for "Rai" which usually means "next/coming" was replaced by Oda with the Kanji for "Thunder". It could also be an intentional reference to Raijin, the actual God of Thunder in the Shinto Religion of Japan, due to how similar "Raigo" is to "Raijin".
