STEVEN UNIVERSE 5X9 "Sadie Killer" Full Length Reaction

Comments

My favorite bit is Steven taking the napkins. He does it in other episodes too. In the episode where he trained at the big donut, the video they had him watch Mr smiley says napkins are always free.

Yess, that was such a good series of reactions. I honestly wasn’t the hugest fan of Amphibia on first watch, but your sheer enthusiasm for the characters turned me around on it, and that second time through I had a lot of fun with the world.

I get so happy when people tell me how much they look forward to these videos and they become part of their daily routine, so thank you! And yeah Gravity Falls was pretty much the start, so it’s wild that it will be three years in November.

I appreciate that, thank you! And ugh I really miss Amphibia. That was some of the most fun I had watching a show for my channel

It’s nice to hear you talk about your Journey with YouTube…. Like a good Royal Guard Pony would say… “WOW… Art is so evocative! SCORE!” xddddd If I remember correctly i found your channel thanks to your Amphibia reactions, and oh boy did I enjoyed those reactions xdd. If you allow to be a little Corny here…. I think it speaks volumes to how good your vibes are that I’ve decided to have YOU as one of only 2 Patreon Channels i actively follow due to my limited budget. And believe me I follow A LOT of reaction channels (on YouTube)xdd. Of course… I’m just some random dude but i am very careful about which content creator i decide to give my money to.

Not gonna lie… I think the Sadie with the cool kids sub-plot is my favorite part of Season 5, it reminds me of how good and fun the Earth Sub-plots of this show could be before everything got taken over by the Homeworld Plot. I also find it ironic… Lars was the one who desperately wanted to be part of the Cool Kids, and he did have some good moments with them…. But he never fully integrated himself with them because of his insecurity problem. And now we have Sadie who was never really interested in becoming friends with Jenny, Buck and Sour Cream and just wanted to keep hanging out with Lars… has now taken the time to know them better and she found in them a reliable and of course “cool” new group friends. She’s expanding her horizons and that’s wonderful. I love the “ The Working Dead” Song, the beat that all of them made before Sadie started singing was SICK. I also appreciate how “Raw” the song feels, with Kate Micucci changing constantly between speaking and singing the lyrics to give it a more theatrical feeling like you said. I think I also read somewhere that Rebecca Sugar alongside Aivi and Surasshu deliberately decided to NOT modify Kate’s vocal performances at all during the sound mix process so that the Band could have a very “Indie” or “Garage” feeling to it. And finally… it has been confirmed that the title of the song “The Working Dead” is a reference to the HBO show The Walking Dead.

Oh wow, I didn’t realize (or maybe I forgot) that Gravity Falls was that early in your reaction journey! That’s the series I found you with, and I’ve been watching through a number of your other cartoon reaction series since. I got your channel recommended to me by a friend- and not only that, but I’m pretty sure I remember seeing it name dropped by a number of prolific individuals in the fandom, too. The Gravity Falls fandom in particular is one that is still quite large and passionately dedicated even all these years on, so it doesn’t surprise me how much those videos exploded, ahah- well earned. Your commentary has always been a treat to listen to, thank you for sharing. (I feel like I say that a lot, but- genuinely- thank you! These videos have given me many nights of company.) Ahahah, and I KNEW you’d like the song in this episode! From everything you’ve mentioned about your music tastes thus far I felt it’d be right up your alley. Definitely one of my favorite jams from the show. Good on Sadie for finally following her passion and breaking free! I do wanna smack Steven for his napkin crimes, though. Naughty! Put those back, you wasteful hooligan.
