I'm just hoping that when we get to where it won't be a spoiler I'll remember to add a comment about it. Sorry about the vague rambling, but I often feel like I want to comment to show I'm invested, but get wrapped up in worrying about what I might accidentally let slip...

2024-07-25 03:49:13 +0000 UTC“He’s telling Steven the whole thing. It’s like YouTube comments…” LOL. Ronaldo's texts are so stupid funny to me when I pause the episode and read through them all. On one of them he says he broke Steven's window to go into the house to take back the DVDs he loaned him because there was a sign that said "gone vacationing" on the door, LOL. What an absolute disaster man. I'm also always amused by the "party guy" gag and the fact that Steven just climbs into the hot tub with clothes on. M'guy... being in that tub in jeans CAN'T feel good, good grief. I quite like that Steven's problem in this one is a quieter human thing that Greg actually knows how to handle- he really does a great job talking him through things and helping him feel better with the situation, bless him. Good dad. And yeah, I definitely agree with your prognosis at the end... that Steven just needs to give her space for a bit. Processing something like that is hard enough as it is, let alone when you're just a kid. She just needs time.

People literally forget that they are TWEENS. Both just 12. Heaven forbid a tween girl do anything, lol.

2024-07-25 02:47:17 +0000 UTCUhh... this episode brings up bad memories for me.... because im pretty sure this is the point where part of the fandom (or at least a big chunk of the Spanish-speaking one) of the show started hating Connie's character. I guess it was sort of cultural thing... since Steven was clearly making a sacrifice for the sake of everyone else at the end of Season 4, and looking at it realistically... there was really nothing Connie and Steven could have done even if they were together.... And at least here in hispanic lands... a man making a sacrifice for his family is something that NEEDS to be respected (at least that's how i rationalized the reaction of the Fandom). Of course... even at the time i totally understood where Connie was coming from... but still... i couldn't help but feel exhausted and overwhelmed by how much people were hating and making fun of her, calling her stupid and selfish for not understanding Steven's position and not just giving him a pass. In short......... It was BAD.
