Yeah I agree. The ending of Amphibia just hit me differently than Gravity Falls, who’s ending I loved btw. Very curious to see how Owl House’s finale matches up. It’s just a shame they never got to do their full third season

I think the girls growing apart after the end is not just a choice of realism, but more to fit with the themes that were stressed pretty hard, and I think to do otherwise would undermine what the show wants us to think about Marcy's fears and original decision. Like, if Anne and Sasha had stayed best friends after she left, she'd still be kind of justified after everything to feel left out, but in fact even if she had stayed it's beyond her power to prevent that kind of change from happening.

it was a wonderful time watching this show with you, amphibia is such a good show and i feel like it’s not always appreciated as much as the other shows like gravity falls and owl house-which I also love so much but there’s something about amphibia that I just can’t describe 😭 the ending always hits hard but it’s so good and does everything an ending should do! Thank you for the amazing reaction and can’t wait to see what you decide to do next 😊

Totally ok to point out details! Unfortunately by watching a show this way, as in reactions, I’m going to miss stuff. It’s hard to commentate and give a reaction, while also noticing every detail. I catch all the stuff I miss when I’m editing. It’s the main reason why I usually will record 4 episodes at a time, so when I go to record the next batch, I’m not going into them still missing important details. I appreciate the comments!

The time jump in Amphibia at the end was 9 months, while Earth had a jump of 10 years as you know. The Guardian said they made a copy of Anne, and you can see that because the Anne that is brought back to life has her 1 shoe on the opposite foot from where it's been the whole show. I just realized that Anne's birthday has moved as well, which fits since she's a copy. Her birthday is now the 10-year anniversary of the invasion, which happened at least 5 months after they went to Amphibia on Anne's birthday. I don't mean to point out a bunch of little details, I just thought these were the most interesting to know (and one that I just thought of). I'm going to look forward to your youtube uploads, and I'm going to miss seeing you uploading Amphibia in a few weeks, but that's the great thing about youtube: the videos will always be there to watch again.
