Yes Mikey, the severed hand rising from the trunk in the intro has always been there xddd. So many new characters with cool designs appear for the first time in this episode, one in particular sticks out more than the others... but i won't say which one cuz spoilers. Yes, that one Wizard was naked xdd, you actually have seen him before, he was one of the many characters Finn was trying to help in the episode "Memories of Boom Boom Mountain" in season 1. That random character that looks like a human it's actually just an easter egg, he's the animated parody of Phil Rynda, the lead Character Designer of the show, he's actually a very recurrent gag commonly known as the "Phil Face". You have seen the Phil Face before... it is the "magic circle" used to create a portal to the Nightosphere.
