Whether or not there's something else, I really don't know as I haven't seen all of the series, so that would be a twist I didn't expect! I just figured that Mr. Gold chose him because he would draw Emma Swan to Storybrook and fulfill the prophecy. Yes, Snow White ate the poisoned apple from the Evil Queen and fell to the sleeping curse, the one that in this episode Regina (as the Queen) revealed that Maleficent traded to her. In the first episode, we saw Snow White in her glass coffin under the curse, the same one that Sleeping Beauty had fallen to, and then we saw Prince Charming awaken her with a kiss. What Regina/Queen is saying that Snow White did to her and Regina's lover has not been revealed yet, but she makes it clear she believes Snow is to blame. Snow White: Evil Queen, Prince Charming, poisoned apple, sleeping curse Sleeping Beauty: Maleficent, Prince Phillip, spinning needle pricked finger, sleeping curse Cinderella: Evil Stepmother, Handsome Prince, fairy godmother, glass slipper Best Snow White film I've seen is the live action Snow White: A Tale of Terror. But if you are ever in a mood to watch twisted fairy tales with a strong dollop of humor, there is a mini-series (only 5 episodes total and then it's concluded, so like a really long movie) called The 10th Kingdom that is brilliant. I know you're getting some flack for watching Once Upon a Time, but I'm happy that you had a Patreon member request the first 2 episodes at least. It could be something to watch in the future after some of the other series are done. I've not watched past the 3rd season of this because I got distracted by other shows, but it would be fun to watch if you're into it.
