No, Elena is a hypocritical selfish bi***! She is the first one to stomp her feet and declare to others (especially Damon) that it's "her choice" to do this or that, even when that choice doesn't just affect her but all of them, she is still the only one entitled to have a choice. Even though Rebekah explained it as just because she’s the witch of the Original vampire family, constant use of it as “the Original Witch” kept giving it a false connotation for viewers like Don that she was the first witch like her kids are the first vampires or like some special line of witches descended from her when that’s actually the Bennett line. Her line ended with her (notwithstanding *that* storyline from TO but that wasn’t going anywhere generationally either) and she still needed help and/or power boosts from the Bennett line every time she did something big. Idk but that was an annoyance of mine
