Yo I'm sure a bunch of other people commented it but the way they got the streets so empty is just really convenient and good filming techniques, they filmed at around five am and filmed extremely quickly with as few takes as possible for one scene

2025-06-22 05:55:25 +0000 UTCThe reason why this appears to be poor quality even with consideration of when it was made, is because Danny Boyle (the director, who is British btw, and an amazing auteur and one of the best still working today) filmed the entire movie on a consumer-grade digital camcorder to intentionally make it feel more carnal and realβ¦Like a snuff film that no one was intentionally meant to witness (very similar to found-footage movies, though not exactly the same). It makes the next entry, 28 Weeks Later the odd-one out, since it was more of a stylized, Hollywood produced film and made by a different director. Which is incidentally what makes 28 Years Later much more appealing and curious since, not only is Danny Boyle back in the directorβs chair, he reportedly filmed the entire thing on the newest version of the iPhoneβ¦π³πππ₯°
