Advance Demo! "Dancing"
Added 2020-11-14 17:31:08 +0000 UTCHey there dear Patrons! I'm so happy to show you this song for the first time... this has had me hooked for more than a year now. I started working on this song before recording all the songs for "All Systems Go" but couldn't finish it in time. The first draft of the lyrics felt a little naive / childish and although I loved the groove and direction it was heading to, I decided to leave it for later.
And that turned out to be the right decision. Enter 2020 and I started my daily Youtube broadcasts in March to try and cheer up the global lockdown. One month later aprox I did a "demo special" live broadcast and among others played the raw demo of this. To my surprise you loved it (remember Mike Cubz?) and hearing it again in this years context suddenly made sense. So I started working right away on it, first fixing some instruments and later adapting the lyrics. I think this song will make more sense next year, because it's about that first month we will (hopefully) be able to go out and see friends and party again. Who needs sleeping when the clock is ticking?
One of the biggest new additions to the song apart form the lyrics fix is the collaboration of Jose Spinnin. He recorded last week the scratches you can hear starting on the second half of the song.
