All Girls React to Godfather Part II (1974)

What were you talking about here? Were you high while writing all this? Firstly, are you sure you were talking about Godfather Part III? Because if so, who were these women you describe in Part 3, which caused the movie to be bad for a lot of men because these women dominate Michael Corleone in that film? For all I remember in that film there were only 3 female characters: his daughter, who had a weird sexual relationship with her cousin and still wanted to continue even after being told not to by his father; his sister, who was loyal to him till the end; and his ex-wife Kate, who forgave him for what he did and tried to work on their relationship before the tragedy happened in the end. I never heard anyone say part 3 is bad because it lacks the so-called "anthems for wife beating and toxic masculinity" and is mostly liked by the fans even though it's not as great as the first 2. And secondly, the King Lear reference is also total nonsense here because in King Lear he divides his power and land between his daughters, which Michael never does or even tries to do with his children.

Shakespeare's plays are still outstanding models for young writers today. It's tough to beat Shakespeare in the development of theme and characters. Shakespeare's plot twists and observations of human nature are also tough to beat today. It's easy for todays writers to fall back on Shakespeare to keep his work alive and to avoid reinventing the wheel. The Godfather films are the best example of that.

Interesting points. I like where you talk about Shakespeare.I read somewhere Pacino was not until in his mid 20s/30s a huge Shakespeare fan. and that his work had a huge influence on al. Seems like Shakespeare was really the illegitimate true driving force to the successfulness of the actors, directors all in their own respective arts, and of course the franchise.

More women are using the Godfather movies to judge the moral aptitude of men that they date because the theme of the Godfather movies is moral/emotional blindness. The theme of moral/emotional blindness is taken from Shakespeare's King Lear, which is also a story about succession of power from a father to his children. The director Coppola started using King Lear more as they started to run out of material from the Godfather novel. As a result, the Godfather story becomes more complex with each movie. Guys who have no idea that the theme is about moral/emotional blindness become totally lost by Part 3. Most guys will misinterpret the first two films as anthems for wife beating and toxic masculinity and try to deny that Part 3 exists. People who understand King Lear will definitely enjoy Part 3 more than anyone else. But, knowledge of King Lear isn't required to enjoy and understand Part 3 for anyone with any sense of morality and any understanding of metaphor and allegory.

I've noticed that most of these gals haven't reacted to Part 3. Most likely because the guys they know told them not to watch it. They may not realize the real reason that most guys hate Part 3 is because the women dominate Michael Corleone in that film, like King Lear. You should have these reactors react to Part 3 together with a discussion after of the real reason men don't want women to watch Part 3. I'll bet you get massive views for taking that unique approach to Part 3.
