[IU's Palette] A SHINee-ing Palette (With SHINee) Part 1 - Reaction and Commentary

IU's show "IU's Palette' did a great job showcasing a different artistic and emotional side of SHINee that only another K-pop artist can bring out.

[IU's Palette] A SHINee-ing Palette (With SHINee) Part 1 - Reaction and Commentary

Their choice of different moves basically shows how different they are from each other. Like different personality, ideas, styles, interests, taste in music etc. Even the styles in their solos are different from each other. Thats why it's fun and interesting to follow their music as a group and solos. Sometimes I wonder how long it might take for them to reach an agreement for the group. They are all strong individuals but not selfish at the same time. It must be hard, and I admire them for it. Fun fact: Later after this show, Onew revealed that his members pupousely asked him to sing more part especially the highlight part of the song just because they think "The world needs to know how beautiful his voice is"

Finally, some SHINee reality! This was such a fun watch—looking forward to part 2! So, earlier we said that SHINee doesn’t have lore, but they actually have a sort of lore-introductory song: "The SHINee World (Doo Bop)" :D (the original lore song before aespa’s aenergy). It’s a really fun track that was a B-side on their first full album. Minho’s "dibidibidis" rap is a legendary meme—he’d introduce each member with a quirky line, going like: "Bling bling is Jonghyun, our powerful one is Taemin, tofu leader Onew, SHINee’s almighty Key, flaming charisma Minho", with "dibidibidis" in between every line. LMAO. That was also how they introduced themselves as a greeting early in their career. Here’s a video of just Minho’s rap part (warning: it’s pretty cringe FYI :D): https://youtu.be/ka9zydFTSEs But the song itself is pretty cool! They even tweaked the lyrics later in performances to include the titles of their singles released at the time: https://youtu.be/fpaw4Rb0DL0 12:39 - Funny you mentioned Boys Over Flowers because SHINee actually sang the famous OST for it, "Stand By Me" (you reacted to it once!). That’s how a lot of international fans first discovered SHINee back in the day. Taemin and Onew also recorded OSTs for another drama, To The Beautiful You, which starred Minho and Sulli from f(x). Overall, SHINee has many group and solo OSTs—you could totally do a reaction video to some of them! 15:55 - I feel like what IU meant when she said Onew’s voice sounds youthful is that his natural tone/timbre has that quality—not that the other members sound old or anything. He has a rich, full sound that’s also very distinctive. Speaking of SHINee’s relationship with IU, Jonghyun was definitely the closest to her. She even famously "stole" one of his tracks, "Gloomy Clock", which he originally planned to release himself. She didn’t actually steal it, of course—Jonghyun had asked for her opinion on the song, and IU loved it so much that she nagged him into selling it to her. 😂 Jonghyun's vocals are also featured on it! After his passing, IU released "Eight" with BTS’s Suga, which is believed to be a tribute to Jonghyun, Sulli, and Goo Hara—all of whom were her close friends. She’s also covered Jonghyun’s song "Before Our Spring" once.

They had no comebacks for 3 years because 3 of the members enlisted. they had another 2 years break after that because of Taemin's enlistment as well.

If you want a newer group that does a lot of harmonizing, I would recommend the k-band ONEWE. They are a 4th gen group from RBW and they have an AMAZING main vocalist called Yonghoon (easily the best male vocalist in 4th gen), a great lead vocalist called Dongmyeong and a rapper that sometimes sings as well called Giuk (formerly known as CyA). Yonghoon and Dongmyeong harmonize very often and they sound beautiful when they do it. And besides that they have an incredible discography.

Taemin keeps trying to show us his (nonexistent) wrinkles to show us he's old now. It's all natural with them.

Onew and Taemin tend to be on the same wavelength the most (it probably helps that they are both the introverts of the group and the 2 weirdest members of the group, which says A LOT, because no one is sane in this group..), they understand each other even when no one else understands them.

With regards to lee mujin service all the members except minho have been there and all were good. Onew was part of it 2 weeks back and I can say it was one of the BEST Lee mujin service episode ever. Since you like Taeyeon onew did cover her TO X song.

You can see the dance practice of Dont call me to see how hard the dance is as they do not need to adjust their movements to sing. https://youtu.be/1SD3lbNXXn8?si=-Vf1os9kSrB3yArc You are right, people actually see IU and Taeyeon in the same light. IU is basically the most popular female solo while taeyeon is the most popular female solo idol. Taeyeon once sung an OST for IU's drama. It was so popular that she got a main award for it. It was also included in her killing voice. You can check it out for taeyeon's reaction, it would be nice if you check more of her OST as well. lyrics version: https://youtu.be/E7sxc2aYTmo?si=EkB32b__s9LMCMCD
