Seventeen had to promote themselves and had very low budget (which is why adore u looks the way it does LMAO)… they didn’t have much money and at the time their fanbase was really small. They got a lot more popular as years went by and that’s when Hybe decided they wanted to take Pledis along with Seventeen in. Seventeen basically did so well that Hybe was a bit threatened so they acquired them
