Yeah, the Like It performance with only three members is from the concert tour, which took place largely throughout 2023, when Onew was unfortunately out on hiatus. The Identity performance is from the three encore concerts that took place in May 2024, after he'd returned that April. (By the way, they commented it was incredible how he was able to learn a whole bunch of new choreo in a super limited amount of time! He hadn't done any practice while on hiatus. The other members also had to get used to doing some choreo with four members instead of three. The group wasn't able to practice together a lot, which makes the encore concerts even more impressive for me.) Onew told a fan during one of the fansigns for his FLOW album that it had been a really serious issue (he didn't specify what, exactly) with his thyroid. He had to get an operation and spend a lot of time recovering, but he says he's all good now and seems to be super healthy. π

2024-11-10 00:01:21 +0000 UTCi honestly need to say that your surprise that onew wasn't in the last performance right at the end of it made me remember about how some people talked trash about shinee going on concerts while he was on hiatus. they said "it'll be terrible, no lead vocal" and all of that but the three of them were AMAZING. of course onew is very much needed and loved by all of us and one of the best voices out there but he needed to take care of himself and i'm sure he wanted the group to do the concerts and the promotions. Seeing the three of them thriving when also doing the parts of their two primary vocalists easily shows how strong of a group they are and how talented they are

2024-11-09 23:57:26 +0000 UTCIn Identity's performance, the white gold clothes are similar~ In fact, they made this set of white gold clothes because they performed at the Tokyo Dome again after a long time in February this year, and the clothes are for the opening section. It was also a tribute to the first time they performed at the Tokyo Dome; back then it was also the opening section clothes (clothes in the SHINee World VI-Picasso performance you've seen before), so you can see it's actually very similar~~

2024-11-09 22:34:45 +0000 UTCYou had me dying when you were talking about how 'the gays love theatre' π But yes, SHINee do have quite a large LGBTQ+ fanbase (hi!), and when Identity came out, whooooo, that became our ANTHEM. It was my instant fave when the album came out anyway, because I love when SHINee songs have that funk-pop vibe. They do it so well! Those lyrics really hit different though. And yes, Identity did the rounds during Seoul Pride when it dropped, and became an unofficial official Pride Song, but a few of SHINee's songs, and Key's solo songs usually get played every year actually π
