I've mostly decided on making this next video about Half-Life (1). I want to do a little dissection of the atmosphere and less tangible things that give HL1 its very distinct vibe (other than there being like 4 voice actors and 5 character models lmao). ideally I'd like to get it out around the beginning of next month/end of this month to hit that spooky window, but as always, time will decide on that.
beyond that, steady progress is still being made on the year end big review thing. so far I have at least 15 games slated for it, but I won't spoil the entire list. I've been making sure to capture footage as I'm writing, so the edit should remain as simple and painless as any Top 10 list or what have you.
I've always been a bit on the fence with a lot of my archived twitch footage. I think there's some good stuff in there, but rarely enough in one stream to justify a full-length video. the natural solutions are obviously either uploading little clips (which I've done before) or broader compilations, but I have various reservations about both of those approaches: inconsistency, upload spamming, general algorithm nonsense. I've probably mentioned all this stuff before, but I bring it up now because I'm hoping the big review thing will be a sort of way to integrate that twitch stuff that can't stand on its own. I hope.
