Art is hard

For someone like me, someone who’s not very visual minded, art is especially hard. And now, with the current crackdown on NSFW content and virtue signaling, art is getting impossible to do for a living, both financially and psychologically.

Just this week, I’ve heard of three artists I know getting their accounts banned for drawing previously allowed content here. Suffice to say, I’m soon to fall too since Patreon is already hiding my posts.

I won’t beat around the bush. This past month I was almost a thousand miles from home working on my first engineering project in almost 6 years, I'm unemployed once again since it was just a contract, but the wheels are spinning, I'm going back as an engineer.

I’m tired of the grind and instability, I just want a job and live in peace, so I’m working towards a more stable life. Sadly, some things must go, so I’m retiring as a commercial artist, at least gradually.

Of course, I won’t stop painting, but I’m slowly pulling out my internet presence. For this site, I feel bad for those still supporting me and not getting anything in return, that’s why I decided to close this Patreon.

That said, I’m planning a painting, nothing special, but at least I want to give every one of you something as thanks for your support. The painting will be done this or next month, and the account will be hidden shortly after.

Lastly, for people looking to commission me, I'm still open for requests. Those will end sooner or later too, the moment I get a stable job will be also be the time I'll fully retire as an artist (job wise).
