Madam Pomfrey Behind the Scenes!

Ok here's a big photo post!

Finally all of my backdrop pieces arrived this week so I was able to get to spray painting them. They arrived super shiny, almost metallic looking which wasn't the look I was going for.

Here you can see a side by side! (Left - after spray paint, actually looks like stone. Right - before spray paint, super metallic bricks!)

A deer came by to inspect my work!

The spray painting worked out really well. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't stick for some reason but it did and looks really matte now that they're dried down.

I also finished my floating* candles!

Just have to string them up now!

And finally, I wanted to bring more magic and detail by including some classic Harry Potter candies. This was a digital file I purchased from an artist, cut them out, assembled and glued them, and also added some candies wrapped in cellophane.

There are just a few more small details to do but I'm finally ready to set up and film.

Note to self: Order anything from China at least 1 month ahead of time.

Nice, those candles look pretty convincing. Looks like that matte spray really worked out and the fine detail still came through. Looking interesting so far Amy, everything is coming together.
