So what's the event?
It's a 3 hour creature design challenge! At 10AM I will announce the creature prompt and share my reference material. (We are all starting from scratch, even me!) Then everybody start sketching! At the 3 hour mark I will call a stop and ask everyone to upload their drawings to Instagram and hashtags them #letsdrawmonsters. I will go through and share everyone's entries live for the last half hour of the show to see what everyone came up with!
During the stream I will be doing thumbnails, sketches, studies from life and a detailed finished drawing of the monster and talking about my process as I go. It should be pretty fun!
Wait, is this serious? Are there prizes??
Yes! Annie and I will be announcing winners after the stream. Categories include Most Scary, Most Cute, Most NOPE, and the Golden Sluglord Award. I also want to give a Patron's Choice Award (chosen by popular vote here) if I can manage to figure out how to run a poll with all the entries.
We are still getting all the prizes together, but there will be pins, brush sets, store gift cards and a few other goodies. Tune in Wednesday for all the details on that.

I haven't been able to work that out yet. They say uploading at 1200x1200 pixels will make it not have to change resolution, but sometimes it seems to anyway. These days I just upload anything from my computer at 2000x2000 pixels as a jpg and it seems to work out okay. and if i want it sharper sometimes i make it a multi image post with a few detail shots in it
