Hey everyone!
Welcome to Dev Diary #4! Still dealing with moving chaos, but slowly getting back into some normality. Turns out agencies have a very creative definition of "move-in ready".
Arc Current Progress:
Script: 8554 words (+2692 since last update)
CGs: 32 completed (+0 since last week)
Animations: Still working on the technical pipeline
Outline: Solid β
This week was... interesting. I'm probably more sleep deprived that I should as I try to juggle everything.
Had to deal with some "surprise" repairs that the agency conveniently forgot to mention. So I decided to focus on script work this week and with the Platinum reward requiring CG work, it felt good to just dive deep into the writing without worrying about rendering on the main story.
This week also saw the Platinum reward drop - my first attempt at a proper comic format! What I thought would be a quick side thing ended up eating 10+ hours as I learned typography, flow, and comic-style storytelling.
The pacing, the visual flow, the way tension builds across panels it's a completely different beast from VN scripting. I don't think I quite nailed the storytelling in that medium yet, but it was a fun challenge.
Here's a small preview of what Platinum/VIP members got to enjoy (and huge thanks to all my Platinum/VIP supporters - you're the ones keeping this project alive π)

Next week is shaping up to be exciting and important. Fingers crossed, I should finally have some stability on the moving front, which means I can get back to proper work alongside the writing.
The arc itself is coming along nicely, and I'm starting to get a feel for how it all plays together. I think this one hits a nice sweet spot of slice-of-life moments, classic scenes that OG players will recognise, AND a couple of new surprises that should be fun.
Speaking of fun... wonder what could make our character of the week look so surprised? π€
Can't wait to show you what's cooking!
Cheers,
Tori
