This project was a massive challenge. I had three goals in mind:
1. To update the covers to reflect the new geroo designs
2. To improve the design of the covers to make them more striking and iconic
3. To make sure that book 3's cover still worked relatively well with the old cover designs
Well, to fit in with goal 3, I could not change the cover fonts, drop shadows, or color scheme, and it also had to be set in the same location with the planet in the background. I went through... several iterations of this, including doing something I haven't done in ages: full color thumbnailing. Turns out this is the only real way to do it if you want to have a striking image balanced with the title and cover text.
I still need to prep the covers for use, so it'll still be a bit, but TTL and TCO will both have their updated covers before Chain Unbroken is released.
