In case you were unaware
Added 2015-10-02 17:02:57 +0000 UTCPatreon had a data breach. Among the items accessed were passwords and tax information, and while these were encrypted it's still recommended you change your password ASAP.
Security breaches are unfortunately a thing that happens now and again and it's extremely difficult to be 100% secure; however you can at least do YOUR part to make certain your passwords are not even remotely common. Using a password manager like LastPass or 1Password will help you keep track of unique passwords as well as keep them locked under extra layers of security.
I hope that this won't dissuade you from continued support. Data breach has seemed more and more like a moral failure in the last decade, and for that I'm sorry.

I'm a KeePass user myself. Good advice though! No need for you to apologize, as whether this was a moral or technical failing, it certainly wasn't on your end. It's definitely gonna keep being a thing going forward for at least a while, though.

2015-10-03 17:13:43 +0000 UTCI didn't know about LastPass or 1Password - thank you for sharing that information! It's sad that on top of a lot of Patreon misconceptions/hating on artists for trying to earn from their work that a data breach gets added to the problems pile :/
