Housepets! - 5/9/2023
Added 2023-05-09 02:55:18 +0000 UTCOKAY. I know this has been a while in coming but this story arc is finally done. For now, Housepets is done. But it will be coming back--I still have stories for this that I never got around to telling, but I want to be able to tell them in a way that doesn't drive me absolutely mad. I will write them the same way I do my other comics, and that means actually giving myself some time and space to write them instead of panicking and forcing myself to a writing deadline that hinders more than it helps.
I need to get around to making the new website so people can actually follow all my other comics and stories too!

Every story has an end. Somehow didn't expect this one to end as it seemed like a slice of life with random side adventures. But awesome on the completion and looking forward to the other stories.

I was thinking about this this morning but I was wondering if you have thoughts on doing a quick 1-2 panel comic of where each of the many characters of the story are. There are so many beloved characters in the story but the ending focused on mostly new characters. Just curious.

X3 It's hard to believe the comic is over at this point as well, but this ending actually has me excited for what's to come when you're ready to come back. I been reading the comic since the introduction of Spo, but stayed for the Sandwiches and this ending just rekindled my expectations more than ever. Been reading the comic for 14 years and it's helped me out alot in life and i'm eternally grateful, Rick. :)

I was hooked instantly by these adorable and funny characters and have followed the series ever since. As soon as I read the newest strip I went back to the beginning and read the whole thing over a few days. And I loved it!!! It's also how I discovered your other works. This was the first furry community I really loved being a part of and it's been a big positive influence for me. Thank you for this amazing comic and I look forward to whatever the futute holds. ^^

You have done such an amazing job with this series. If it wasn't for Housepets!, I wouldn't have found your other works and many friends I've made in the meantime. You've earned a well-deserved break! I know it's not "over", but I'm happy to have been along for the ride. Thank you! And I'll be keeping up with the rest of your series too, of course!

I got attached to the squirrel immediately, and it was a blast seeing Marion and his character arc all the way to the end like this. I wasnβt an avid reader for as long as a lot of other folks, but these last four years were one helluva ride. Thanks Rick, and Iβm looking forward to everything else youβre working on, as always!

It's continuous pacing provided a stability in routine releases during tumultuous periods of my life and the gateway into the furry community as a whole was life changing. Thank you for all you've done and the wonderful story you chose to share with us π

Other comics I read do this, like Ctrlt+Alt+Del, PS 238, Kevin and Kell, et al. I always marvel at artists who can keep so many plots going at the same time.
