Postponing TFF to 2023
Added 2022-02-10 00:58:47 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, omicron seems to have thrown a wrench into my plans. Since the current vaccine is imperfect when it comes to omicron, I've basically had to decide: is risking contracting one to three weeks of illness worth going to TFF? And while I would REALLY like to attend TFF, with the current COVID situation I've realized that, even if I did ignore the risk of catching covid (having GOH duties and Dealer's Den would definitely increase the risk), the experience is gonna be less enjoyable than it could be simply because I'd have to stay away from basically everyone.
The TFF staff have graciously allowed me to shift my invitation to 2023, however, and I will still be providing the t-shirt art for this year's con. On top of that, I'm gonna plan to do a however-many-day Home Con either on or just after TFF this year, which will include livestreamed commissions and signed book sales (probably do the HP book 12 sketch editions?)

Looks like this is never going to end... I keep hoping things will get better but... don't count on TFF happening next year either

2022-02-11 00:42:25 +0000 UTCThe sheer length of the illness is what bothers me the most right now; I know that the actual risk of long-term problems is low if you've been vaccinated. But that's still 2/3rds of a month, which isn't super cool when you're self-employed.

2022-02-10 17:41:32 +0000 UTCI had the Delta one, the only issue to worry about is if your immune system can handle it. Also I was sick for about 20 days, the worst was a super sore throat that felt like swallowing sand paper.
