To : River Descending : THANK YOU!! Excellent explanation! Now of course it all makes sense. Maybe because I don't rent an apartment, I didn't know of that technicality about rental agreements. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

If Adrian stays at Hilde's apartment for 2 weeks or less, she's considered a temporary guest. If she stays longer, she'll be considered a permanent resident (which leads to the whole mess we started the chapter with). So, if Adrian only stays at Hilde's place 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, the landlord can't do anything about it. She becomes, legally, just a very regular temporary guest of Hilde's. I assume Hilde is excited because a) the money problem goes away and b) she knows Adrian doesn't want to be a burden and this could potentially ease that worry for Adrian. It looks like a win-win situation

Alright - I screwed up. 5th sentence should end "she's all cool with 2-week separations from Adrien??" Now I hope I haven't confused you... (one confused guy is enough)

I no gets. What's this about "a 2 week limit" at the apartment? 2 weeks on 2 weeks off? And Hildegard jumps right in in accord with what Janice is saying, without a pause? Like she wants Adrien, but now she's all cool with 2-week separations from Hide??? Rightly so, Adrien is conflicted - and I am just confused. I have not missed one panel of this story, but I feel that I've missed something...

This could be a good thing. Janice could be so much better at reading people then Hilde so she'll be able to help Adrien open up about how she actually feels about this, then in turn help Adrien tell this to Hilde.

I guess whats probably going to happen is that both Adrian and Hildegard have to work on trusting each other for their relationship to work. Seeing as Adrian was willing to negotiate paying half of Hilde’s rent. But Hilde has a strict Landlord who’ll double the rent if Adrian stays. So either they find a way to ensure quality time together until things shape up, or Hilde moves out of her apartment and then she and Adrian could have a place to themselves. But again it’s all up in the air at this point. So I will wait patiently for how this all unfolds

IKR? It’s such an outdated scenario and didn’t Hildegard actually open up about wanting them to be together? Oh well. Here’s to hoping things do go well for the better
