単純に11キャラそろっているだけあって、とにかく作業量がすごくて……過去一で時間がかかりました。
完成がまったく見えなくて、一時期はモチベーションがかなり落ちました。
こういう重めの絵は軽い絵と並行して進めるべきだと反省。
とはいえ、20冊目という節目にふさわしい、ちょっと豪華めの一枚にはできたんじゃないかなと思っています。
未結合版では、全員の金ビキニが脱着可能です。
椅子の後ろ側の三人は隠れちゃってあんまり差分の意味がないです。
もうちょっといい構図なかったかなと思いますね。
本当に難しい絵でしたが、そのぶん見ごたえのある仕上がりになっていると思いますので、ぜひ楽しんでもらえたら嬉しいです。

This is the group illustration I drew for the cover of my Winter Comiket release, BATTLESHIP GIRLS 20.
With all eleven characters gathered in one image, the workload was enormous—it ended up taking more time than any piece I’ve done before.
There was a point where I couldn’t see the finish line at all and my motivation really took a hit.
I’ve reflected on it and realized that heavy pieces like this should really be worked on alongside some lighter ones.
That said, I think it turned out to be a fittingly lavish illustration for the 20th volume milestone.
In the unmerged version, everyone’s gold bikini can be toggled on and off.
The three characters behind the chair end up being mostly hidden, so their variations don’t really show—makes me think I should’ve come up with a better composition.
It was a genuinely difficult illustration to tackle, but because of that, I feel it has a lot of impact.
