I love hearing you just gush about One Piece but that could be because I like One Piece too much
2022-02-17 01:14:56 +0000 UTCOkay so, Merphy I know that you're not the biggest fight person but there is one thematic element of this fight in particular I'd like to point out in regards to what's going on with Luffy & Kaido's Haki. So as we know Conqueror's Haki can only be used by a select few those with the disposition of a king and the ambition to enforce their will upon the world. In the Chapter titled "Conqueror's Haki," Luffy figured out via fighting Kaido that you can use Conqueror's Haki to coat your attacks in a similar fashion that you do with Armament Haki (that's also what Zoro did when he cut Kaido btw) and the results are incredibly effective both offensively & defensively. I say all that to say, now that Kaido and Luffy are both doing this the fight has come down to an as literal as possible battle of wills between Luffy & an Emperor of the Sea and I think that's my favorite part of it.
