Clash of the Waifus – Tera Vs. Kyndla

Originally a sketch I commissioned from Foxfencer featuring my two main waifus of pkmndiamond493’s cast: Tera the Pachirisu and Kyndla the Ninetales. Foxfencer supplied the reference picture for the two and he utilized it very, very well. >///>
As an experiment I printed the sketch off with very light lines and re-sketched it with my own lines along with some changes I wanted. Then I scanned it in and colored it like I normally would a digital panting.
And as you can see, I went to town on the special effects; really playing with the implied concept of them growing out of the building that Foxfencer drew. Poor Pokesona Clypse the Umbreon; he’s been K.O.’s from these two battle for his attention. >///<’
