March came to a close with yet another crazy productive month. With over 45 unique pictures completed in various capacities, I’ve been making them faster than I can post. >.>’ I already have pictures schedule nearly halfway into April so there is lots to look forward to!
At this time I will make an announcement of a major life change that is happening to me.
I work three jobs, one of which is for my mom at her bookstore. The future of the bookstore has long been uncertain due to the status of the building. The original landlord passed away four years ago and the building has been in an estate battle to determine ownership. That battle has ended and the building has gone up for sale.
To help ensure the future of the bookstore, I have taken it upon myself to purchase the building. As I often have been telling people, this has involved so many numbers and price tags with more zeroes at the end of them than I am emotionally used to handling.
Now this isn’t like financially crippling but it is more of a strain than I am used to. To help make sure this process happens, I’ve had to live on next to nothing with mostly savings from past months to keep me going. Basically 85% of all money I make is going towards this; another 10% is towards taxes for self-employment; and the final 5% is what I’m living off of in addition to past savings.
I had to cut all of me buying art cold and it is expected to remain that way through the end of May. Food and meals has been pretty stingy, though not like ramen noodles stingy thankfully. @.@’ More like scrambled eggs, basic stir fry, and lunch meat stingy.
Mid-May is when I’m expected to gain full ownership of the building. At that point I will be spending time laboring to fix the place up so I can rent out a small, unused portion of the building to try and bring in money in addition to my mom paying me rent.
If I seem distant, short tempered, or depressed, this is probably why as it is a lot to handle. But this is just a season I am in and I have to weather it a few more months.
I do expect my productivity to start dropping in the next month or two but really, with posting over a picture per day, I don’t think you all will notice much difference, right? ^^;
Thank you all for supporting me as I go through this period. I still look forward to doing art for you all to enjoy!
