Photographing in the untamed nature of Sri Lanka was a beautiful challenge.
The first image was taken just moments before I got stung by an insect—and suddenly, reality hit me: I’m deep in the wild. This isn’t a playground.
It reminded me how alive and unpredictable nature is. How quickly beauty can shift into danger.
As soon as I got stung, I knew—I had to go.
Nature doesn’t always welcome you, no matter how softly you step.
And in that moment, she asked for space. So I listened.
