One Year of StS - Variety or Commitment?

Hey folks! I am one year older as of today, and got a big text update for you.

Next month marks some big changes in my life, (namely I'm getting a second, non-art related job). It also will mark a whole year of Sheath Thine Sword! Yes, a whole year to produce the amount of pages that are before you. It's been tough work, and now I've gotten a hang of what producing a full graphic novel may end up looking like for me (a LOT of time, like. 3-4 years worth of time for a finished book at this pace.) That is a lot of commitment from me to be sure, working full blast on such a hefty project is bound to put my burnout to the test.

All this has been bringing me to a big question: What will the next year of this Patreon look like?

Well, to be quite honest, a taste of variety has left me clambering for more. Drawing Elisa, Carol and Haziel this month has been an absolute blast, and has definitely been a refresher for me. Whenever I get burnt out on something, working on different projects is always something that helps me. It also seems that quite a few of you have enjoyed the variety as well. I thank you for giving me a way to cool off!

So lets talk about variety. Lets go crazy with hypotheticals for a second, bear with me, don't get scared! Four comic pages a month could theoretically go towards any story. The world is our oyster. We could have an Elisa short story one month. A Dr. Carol Short Story in the next. Maybe we want some pages for Z'Rala and her story!

Keep in mind, if we decided to do variety, this would NOT mean that Sheath Thine Sword will be gone, I have SO many ideas for short-stories in that setting. It would mean that it would appear in a different format, and more occasionally. Why commit to a 150-200 page graphic novel when we could just be cutting the fat and jumping to the sex scenes? Do we want to see Magnhild fuck a slime? Well in that case we could just make an 8-page story about Magnhild fucking a slime and it would only take 2 months!

So, to answer that big question? What will the next year of this Patreon look like? It's up to you! Did you join for Sheath Thine Sword exclusively? Is the commitment to a long story worth it, or would you rather start to see shorter, self-contained stories? Would you feel robbed or scammed if Sheath Thine Sword changed to a different format? This is a really big decision to make, so I will be sure to give it a couple weeks to consider it as well. I will be accepting any and all feedback regarding this, and monitoring your opinions before making a decision. My main concern is that I want to make everyone happy, including myself.

Summary (Less Words!)

It's our Patreon Anniversary soon! I now know what a year of comic production feels like. Sheath Thine Sword is a huge commitment and sometimes takes a while to get anywhere, leading to crazy burnout. Short stories could be the answer to trim the fat and get to the good sexy stuff. Would you rather see many, smaller stories about a variety of subjects and characters instead (Like the Dr. Carol Short Story)?
