The holidays...

I have been largely silent for a few days.
I spent the holiday with my folks and my grandmother. We all realize this is very likely her last Christmas with family and it was a somber gathering. Her mind is mostly gone. She can recognize people in the vaguest sense anymore. She askes where her husband is every hour or so leaving one of us to remind her he passed in October.
It's heartbreaking, yet I am happy I had the time with her again.
The missus and I decided to not mention our limited travel plans to see family. Planning always earns the family some sort of emergency. Something that derails lives abruptly and carries the interruption for months with tiny horrible details.
I have no plans for 2025.
With luck I can start creating more. It's an opportunity I dearly miss every day.
I have a little over four dollars in the bank. If I make it through the new year in the green like that I will count it as a win.

I want to thank everyone who has been in contact with me through the year. I'm sorry I have not been able to reach out to everyone myself or return messages as promptly as I can. Many I know have slipped through the cracks of chaos. I am sorry.
I truly wish you all an amazing start to 2025. I hope it continues to prevail in a positive way for you. Share your successes. Lift up those who try new things. Support each other emotionally. We may have a hard year to trudge through in 2025, but with the communities I am honored to be a part of have always been a light of good and hope. Lets, each of us, carry a light for a fellow human who may need that kindness. We will all be better for it.

Again, I love each of you. Thank you all for being a part of so much of my life already.
