Hi guys,
So, I've been pushing on, had a rough few days with LC but managed to get a decent amount done before the worst hit each day :)
MORE importantly, I'm now mid photography (can you tell? ๐) and just had a VERY good day - best photography day I've had since pre covid. it still hit me towards the end, but I had SO MUCH ENERGY! I almost forgot what that felt like ๐
I've got more to show than this, but I'm gonna stretch it out a little. For now all I'm dropping is this quick little setup that was part of the 'quick shots' to show off the difference between the old temple blocks and the new when used with other building pieces - its rather drastic...
You'll also see I pulled back the dirt weathering on the 'floor' sides of the blocks, I felt I went a bit too far originally and it was a bit overwhelming/filthy for all environments. A bit of water and a paper towel or 70 later, and this was the result! Subtle, but noticable, grounded but not drowning the details. You can see it better if you compare it to the last post.

Much better I think! I'm definitely going to give the stairblocks the same treatment, and the stone floors, albeit I might make the floors a bit more random with some areas of no dirt. add some variety, make it less uniform...
But all in all, I'm much happier with how it fits into a dungeon! Obviously you can stack the stairs from stairblocks on them, but more on that next time ๐ For now I'm pretty happy with this grungy dungeon look...
Plus the new brutal banners and gibbets look pretty sick, even without a finished paintjob!
More soon, let me know what you think...
