By the way, you'll hate me after reading this chapter, and yes, it's intentional. It a story of betrayal after all. I need to be consistent with the theme.

So I suppose my only question is will the frequency of updates for your other story increase once this is complete? Or will you be starting a new story?

The only person who would get any satisfaction out of killing Gerard would be Shirou himself, but Shirou of all people isn't someone who spills blood for his own satisfaction. Even his most distorted and corrupted self (EMIYA Alter) is merely someone who kills efficiently. There would be no point at all in killing Gerard.

2020-11-09 16:20:19 +0000 UTCHonestly that would be a reasonable reaction from Shirou after all Rin and Saber didn't willing become what they are now Gerard had to twist and corrupt their minds and personalities in order to do it so Shirou killing Gerard for that but still loving Rin and Saber even in their current state seems understandable that being said considering how fanatically loyal to Gerard Rin is I don't really see that happening. Honestly if Icha didnt have the good ending planned out this would be a pretty decent happy(ish) end Rin and Saber get to cuck Shirou, Shirou being ok with the situation and Gerard getting his comeuppance for what he did to Rin and Saber.

Speaking of which, did you say you'll focus on those for a while before getting started on the Good End route, or will the omakes just kind of pop in randomly whenever you're feeling inspired for that particular kind of smut?

However he would still be hurt and it would reinforce his feelings of worthlessness which is at the core of his being. There are two scenarios that could from it. Either he would just leave and move on, or he would grow to accept it and become a masochist of sort. Spoiler: The Good End is a scenario involving the latter.

If his twisted and warped personality was fine with it as they had proved they loved him, so them seeking pleasure elsewhere didn't mean anything? If his possessiveness as seen when he told Lancer off was due either to feeling like he would be supplanted (which, as Rin & Saber had already from his POV shown they still loved him, wouldn't apply here), or if it was to protect Rin from loving someone who would disappear once the war ended? Not caring even if they "loved" others more than him, so long as he had what he perceived as an acceptable amount of love? If he was upset about the rumors about them because of how he thought it would hurt them, not because of possessiveness or seeing an insult to their relationship? If his selfish unique brand of selflessness was just... fine with the current state of affairs, because the pleasure they found in other people did not, so far as he was concerned, affect the pleasure they found with him? What would they do when such a large part of the pleasure they get out of it is from betraying Shirou, and Shirou turns out to no have an issue with it since no harm is coming from it? (Which would of course be completely different if Shirou knew all the awful shit that led up to the current state of affairs (which I'm guessing would either result in a rage-induced rampage or going Mind of Steel-style Kiritsugu-esque elimination of every single person responsible), but he doesn't).
