You could say there is a "main quest" to this cartoon (you do it by mostly looking forward) and then there are a few side-quests that are impossible to catch unless you'll replay looking in a different direction.

Most of my 3D is evee (very good) engine of Blender. However to get 360 render you need CYCLES engine (ew, put it away) so I found a YT tutorial on combining both engines. 

I would have a 6 camera (front,back,up,down,left,right) rig in evee project rendering each camera into an animated GIF and then in CYCLES project I would have a cube with these animated GIFS serving as textures for the sides of the cube. So in the end you are basically inside this cube (how'd you get in there, silly) looking around. 

In CYCLES I render out a 120 frames 360 GIF that I then insert into a video editor. Because making the whole 4 minutes sequence of events in evee with how slow my Blender projects that use 2D (grease pencil) become wouldn't work I base everything around a 120 frames loops of our viking ship rowed towards salty eternity. So any event happening is a different cube side camera render texture. Tired of typing.
