naruto got the best girl and hinata got naruto the G after always believing in him since day 1, shame hinatas dont exist irl these days lol. i watched every shippiden filler weekly but i couldnt do the same for boruto so i just didnt watch it for months until it got good, but it's standard naruto type peak still imo and it sucks it's been on such a long hiatus. there are a few filler arcs worth a watch though and i think the film is worth a watch as well, the anime covers it but it's kind of different, you get a whole movies worth of soundtracks and it's still 10/10 when the anime covers it with some extra stuff

2025-11-15 08:34:26 +0000 UTCThe thing with boruto is yeah obviously it’s a new story and all but you just can’t go into it thinking you’ll get to see what all our old favorite characters from shippuden are doing now as adults, no while we will get to see them here and there, The story in not focused on the shippuden characters all grown up, it’s focused all around the next generations, so that’s the main thing you have to keep in mind. You 100% should give it a try though.

The people who say it's not are dense and whiny because they went in with the mindset of comparing everything to Naruto OG and Shippuden. Rice and Ginger (big Naruto fans and well known anime reactors) were getting told by some people that it's bad. They started it since it won the poll and have been enjoying it as they are now 100+ episodes in.

2025-11-07 02:35:10 +0000 UTCI'd say Boruto has 2 main problems - peoples expectations vs what we've got and power scaling. 1. I think a lot of people wanted it to be a sort of reboot of Naruto where stakes are shrank down to human or even child level, new quality of animation and beautiful rich Naruto world to explore. The show starts well with this, the problem is they run away from it way too fast. 2. Naruto Shippuden has a clear problem with power scaling. However, it had Naruto show for great base world building, a lot of episodes and it is just done so well that we don't mind it that much. Also the really insane power scaling is like in the last arc of the show. The power scaling in Boruto is much worse than Shippuden and with much weaker base. This breaks immersion and the huge reveals come way too quickly. Like there are points where if you were to watch Boruto 4 episodes per week like you did with Naruto it might feel like you are watching a different show each week. So if you were to follow your plan - start watching Boruto and see if it is any good, I am sure you will love it at the beginning. However, for many people that feeling just does not last and it rather ruins the Naruto story if we were to take Boruto lore as canon. You seem to enjoy watching Naruto movies. Maybe you should watch all of them.
