I'm not a person who likes to look TOO deep into what the future of an anime might be. Like, I don't like to try and predict things. My main goal is to fully understand what is happening from the previous episodes to the current episode. Of course it's almost impossible not to come to some conclusions sometimes but, I don't go out of my way to do so. If that makes sense?
Arnheid's death completely took me off guard. I thought, "There is no way this is the way they take her out.", but the writer did and I get it now.
During the scene with Arnheid there are so many powerful moments, but one that I want to point out is when Arnheid was saying, There's nothing left for me here." Then it switches to showing Thorfinn and she says, "Why do I have to live?" .. and it's so fucking powerful because Thorfinn had been asking himself that same question.
He didn't care about dying. He thought nothing good had ever happened to him in his life, so what was the point of living? What was the point of being afraid of dying? But then he met Einar and he learned that good things did happen to him and he gave himself new goals and a reason to live.
I don't blame Arnheid, at all, for not wanting to continue her life. Not many people would want to continue after the suffering she went through. I get it. But, I do think she still had things to live for. Thorfinn and Einar are just two examples.
But yeah, just a powerful episode all around. Loved your reaction.

I think the reason I like Thorin so much is because of how relatable he is. Regardless of what you’ve done or endured in your life it’s never too late to change. He’s an inspiration

Peakland saga. I think you'll really enjoy the final few episodes.
