When an uchiha who has awakened the mangekyou loses its light duo to excessive use (like sasuke and madara) and that person has a family member who also has the mangekyou something happen. In madara's case it was his brother Izuna uchiha , he transplanted his mangekyou when madara losed his own. The result : A mangekyou that never loses its vision this is why madara can spam his mangekyo ability's wihout any sort of drawback. and the same thing is about to happen with Sasuke . There are alot of other things about this "Eternal mangekyou sharingan" But i wont spoil them.

There's already so much going on with the Leaf but with this arc the world is expanded so much that you are also thinking about the other villages in addition to everything involved with the aftermath of the Pain invasion. It is very engaging though and gives you a lot of new things to consider about the series and its world. Five Kage Summit is at least a definite top 5 Naruto arcs for me
